Greetings fans of multidirectional shooters!

Back in the early days of the arcades, some games used analogue vector cathode ray tube displays instead of the digital pixellated raster screens that we see everywhere today.

Suppose we hadn't given up on vectors and were able to drive these old displays with modern, powerful CPUs capable of 3D maths and hidden surface removal.  What could games look like now?

Here's a remake of one of the oldest vector arcade games from the late seventies---fly your space jet and shoot a bunch of orbiting space rocks in the atmosphere above a small planetoid, while keeping an eye out for dangerous alien UFOs.

What do you think of the concept?  Should we resurrect vector display technology or leave it back in the long-forgotten past?
